This course is designed to empower students with lifesaving skills that can make a critical difference in emergency situations. Severe bleeding is one of the leading causes of preventable death in traumatic injuries, and knowing how to respond quickly and effectively can save lives. During this class, students will learn: how to recognize life-threatening bleeding, techniques to control bleeding (including proper use of tourniquets, wound packing, and applying direct pressure), and how to remain calm and take immediate action in emergency situations. Our goal is to equip students with the knowledge and confidence to act swiftly when every second counts. By the end of this session, students will be prepared to Stop the Bleed, whether at work, at home, or in public spaces.
EST's Stop the Bleed courses are scheduled based on instructor availability, which can be viewed in the sign-up form. Each course typically lasts around an hour, with slight variations depending on class size, and they are completely free for all participants.
